Posted on the Rubery FC website 09/09/08 Farewell to Lyn Lyn Wilson was cremated on Friday 5 September in a moving and at the same time inspiring and uplifting service that celebrated her life and times. Malc and his children in turn paid their own personal tribute to a loving wife and mother who had given so much over many years to them and to others. Despite her having to fight her own private battle with cancer Lyn played a massive role in nurturing our young players here at Rubery. Many of those players who had come to Rubery as boys honoured Lyn in sharing with us in a mature and dignified way what she had done for them. From boys to young men. Their Parents, Rubery FC and (most important of all) Lyn can be proud of them. This world and the small part of it that is Rubery FC is better for Lyn having graced it. Thank you Lyn - and Farewell.
